The Story Behind Oldskool Bandanas
How the Idea of Oldskool Bandana Started
The idea for Oldskool Bandana came to me almost instantly. The very next day, driven by passion, I ordered a Brother embroidery machine. I wanted to create something unique—an embroidered bandana that people could carry around as a statement piece. To get started, I researched different types of bandannas, their materials, and patterns, ultimately designing the perfect one to fit my vision.
The Process of Making Oldskool Bandana
Learning the Tools – First, I had to familiarize myself with the embroidery machine and software. Luckily, YouTube tutorials saved me a lot of time.
Designing the Artwork – I sketched out the concept, ensuring it would translate well onto fabric.
Digitalizing in Inkstitch – The artwork was then converted into a stitch-ready format using Inkstitch software.
Testing on Fabric – Before production, I ran test stitches on fabric to ensure quality and durability.
Final Production – Once the test was approved, I began creating the full batch of bandanas.
The Inspiration Behind Oldskool Bandana
The heart of the Oldskool Bandana lies in my mascot, Mr. Oldskool. I've always been a huge fan of bandana artwork, and if you look closely at Mr. Oldskool’s design, you’ll notice bandana textures incorporated into it. My goal was to redefine the perception of bandanas not just as a symbol of rebellion but as a fashionable, stylish accessory. I wanted to create something that people could carry with confidence, blending culture, art, and fashion into a single piece.
